I own Sebring silver. While I am fond of the color and it being on many of classic sports cars(roadsters) if I have to do it again I would choose GPW.

I know that most of us have listed our respective car colors in our signature lines. But I thought that perhaps this would be a more efficient way of determining the most popular color.

My '03 is Silverstone/black. My second and only other choice of color would have been Berlina Black/black.

Peace,
Guy

I've long suspected this to be the case. So I thought that this thread might serve to validate my opinion.
You could have tried a search. The actual production numbers have been posted many MANY times.

Silverstone is by far the most common color. Sebring is not as common because it has only been around since 2002. Also a limiting factor for Suzuka.

White has been shown to be THE most rare color. Of course now Long Beach Blue will be the most rare as it's only the first year for the color.

I think the NFR is probably the rarest color you'll see on the streets, followed by spa and GPW. I'll almost never see other NFR's, but I do see more spa's, and GPW. It's between the spa, and GPW for second rarest, and well silverstone, or sebring is just way to common to spot.

Sebring and Silverstone are by far the most prevelant. I wouldn't be surprised if close to 50% of NA S's are these two colors.

The rest of the colors are pretty evenly distributed, with Berlina leading the way and yellow close behind, imo. NFR, SB and GPW all seem to be the least common exterior colors.

Though I have my preferences on color of an S, I do like pretty much every S2000 I see...despite the color.

I've never been able to find this info on production by color for NA. If you can find it, I'd love to see it.

After having owned some other convertibles (Audi TT etc...) which all had either black/red leather of very dark interior colours, I first chose the interior colour on the S and then looked what exterior colours were possible.

The only colours available with tan over here were silver, dark grey, dark blue and black. Since my last cars were all silver or dark green and dark blue, the choice was evident! I think the S looks very stylish in black, but it gets dirty very quick. I love the yellow but I personally do not like the complete black interior since the roof is black also on the inside.

But no matter the colour, I find the S a very beautiful piece of machinery with the never-ending front! I keep being surprised with the beauty of the GPW with the tan interior!
