I love the yellow also.

Even though i have heard yellow has the worse resale.

I bought my S based on its low price and it ended up being silver go figure.
I wasn't to concerned for the yellow being that I live in the "sunshine state" and all

um i thought they made a equal # colors of s2k's?

EDIT: ohh you mean like which colors sell for the most? who knows...
Colors have not been made equally. The silvers are the most common and GPW is the most rare.

I've seen a rash of yellow S2000s lately, kinda weird. They're everywhere.

The local Honda lot- which rarely has a new S2000 on display at all- now has two yellow '06s on the lot.

Interesting questions. I have done a couple quick searches on these boards for number of each color produced each year but not found anything threads with solid numbers. I'll try to mine a bit more. However, in my search for an S, I started to log cars for sale. Many sources, this site, eBay, AutoTrader, Traderonline, area newspapers. I have almost 230 logged (00 - 04, no 05/06). Here is how my log breaks down: Berlina 12.3%, GPW 10.1%, NFR 19.4%, Silverstone/Sebring 36.1%, Suzuka 10.6% and Spa 11.5%. Not to dis the silvers, but often the ads don't specify exact color, they just say 'silver' or 'grey'. Not real scientific but this is how my numbers break out. Regarding the price question, it does seem that suzuka and spa are on the lower end of the price ranges while GPW and NFR are on the higher end, at least on the ask.

I posted something about this a LOOOOONNNNG time ago:

At the time, GPW had the highest "Color Adjustment". Maybe it is time for someone to re-investigate with Edmunds.

It all depends on what the buyer wants! I went in only wanting a yellow or black s2000 and wouldn't buy any other color.... So a yellow and black S could have been priced higher and I would have bought it. I dont think color makes that big of a difference when it comes down to it. BTW, I like all the s2000 colors but the yellow and black are more my style.

In the used market what you say is accurate. The Black and Silver seem to stick to normal values, the blue and yellow are much cheaper and the white and red comand premiums.

IMO the reason for this is that while Americans like silver, the used market is different, its mostly young guys and they seem to go for the white and red and as such you see them go for more.

I just picked my white 03 on Saturday!!! So very excited.

Like with any car, I don't really think you can get hurt with either silver or white when it comes to the resale. As far as the S goes, I think GPW, Sebring, Silverstone, and Berlina all have good resale, but as they say there is always an ass for every seat so I wouldn't worry too much about it. Just buy whatever color you like to begin with and don't worry too much about the resale.
