2k2AltimavsS2K

How do you even combat this type of ignorance? You can't use logic...

I refuse to reply but I guess I needed to come to a place where things are better understood

I went in to reply, but you have to wait 24 hours (cooling off period I assume).

The answer and equation is easy: Let's reduce the Altima's displacement 1.5L to 2.0L and let's run the cars again....

BTW: Shall we compare stats re: slalom times, etc??

the new ALtima's is pretty quick..should be pretty comparable to the S2000, but ultimately, it comes down to the drivers..

Over the years the Altima hasn't been much more that Nissan's answer to the Ford Tempo, IMHO. Even looked like it.

Now the Altima has been blessed with Maxima power and less horrible looks. However, it's more comparable to an Accord V6.

How can it even be compared to a S2000? I guess one pull down the street means everything to a loser with a sporty family car.

The new altima pulls a REALLY high 14, low 15. Granted that's impressive for a family luxury type car, it's not really comparable to an S2000. I have seen S2000's go as high as high 14's, but even then.... I mean you'd have to be a really bad driver. I guess it's certainly possible. Will I ever lose to a stock Altima? Unless my tire falls off, I hit a tree, and start in 3rd gear (all in 1 run) , I don't think I will.

Damn 24 hour waiting period.

He says at the end, "let the flaming begin".

Oh, and flame we will.....

why do you care about those ignorant people? the world is filled with idiots. cant go around argue with them all day. if you had a ferrari, would you care if a turboed mustang ran as fast as your ferrari? probably not.

Never underestimate Nissan's. I don' think that the Altima is faster than the S2000, but I just know that Nissan engines are very powerful.
