competition
The S really isn't that fast of a car in a straight line imo. Its made more for handling.
There are a lot of inferior cars that can beat the S2000 in a straight line, which saddens me. I've seen a few videos of rsx-type s pulling on s2000s.

what kind of racing are you talking about? straight line drag or a handling race?
As long as you launch, you can win most stoplight encounters. The trick is knowing its a race. If you start normally, then find out that the GTP Pontiac next to you is raceing, you'll have your hands full until 3r gear.
The S2000 is fairly light, so you're competition for cars up to about 280-300 bhp.
Once rolling, on the Highway, you'll usually have an advantage in the S2000, since, it's perfect for hopping through traffic.
Keep your insurance paid up... (Have you priced insurance yet?)
If you really looking to beat people at stoplights, then the Evo would be a better choice.
