If I were you, I will take that money that you are about to waste it on those mod which will not improve your car much, instead spend it on track(no drag) event or drivers school event and learn to drive your car better first then make your car faster.

IMHO, modding your car before knowing how to drive it properly is most idiotic thing you can do. If this statement doesn't apply to you then please ignore my post and proceed with your action.

Exhaust/intake won't give you the power an SC does, so the mods before track-time thing is fine. Track time doesn't cost all that much, my Autocross events are $15 per event and I get 12 runs in.

Get the exhaust!

I just got home from picking up the Invidia Exhaust from a member on this site and alls I can say is it looks thousand times better in person than it did in the pictures. Haven't had a chance to put it on yet but I can't wait. Definately go with the exhaust it will blow you away.

The Invidia is one of the loudest dual outlet exhausts, it is going to make your commute a very loud one. However, you will notice this mod much more than the intake for the reasons mentioned above.

My sleeper comment was just a descriptive word to mean keeping the look of the car stock while you upgrade the engine itself. It is true that neither of these proposed mods will affect your car HP gain very much at all.

I would even consider other engine parts to "tighten" the car up a bit. Clutch, pulleys, gears, sway bars, cross brace etc etc will go far in making the car perform and respond better.

The Exhaust is a vanity mod unless you are serious about weight reduction OR you include the exhaust with a total air handling upgrade (getting many mods at once to enhance the car's breathing in whole).

I love my HKS exhaust and yes, I got it before I modded my car's engine very much at all but the difference is I am not torn between two decisions. It was a lucky deal on my part and I could not pass it up.

If I was forced to choose between one or the other or even a possible third option ( like the ones I described above) that would increase my car's performance considerably I would wait on the exhaust for a while.

All in all, any mod is a good mod if it is on your list of wants. Go with what you really want.

WHURD!!!

Maybe so, but I have a stock exhaust, and I still get revved on by knuckleheads on a weekly basis.

Sad thing seems to be that the S2000 attracts attention no matter what.
