If sound is what you're looking for, do the exhaust first.

Get your car to support the eventual sound by doing your engine mods first. it is more fun fronting a sleeper "type" ride any way (no one is going to take the S for a sleeper, but you catch my drift right?). The invidia will make such a big statement in sound people will be expecting a super charger or a very toughed out engine to back it up. Make it faster before you make it sound faster.

I totally agree with you,my 00 Si was a sleeper so was my Base RSX,but with an S2000 its decently fast from factory,i have alaways juiced my previous cars but its adifferent case with my S,its pretty obvious that simple bolt ons wont give me humongous HP gain so SC or Turbocharger is the only way for me,and that kind of $$ i dont willing to spend yet...but yeah sleeper is the way to go..

neither mod will turn your car into a "sleeper". Expect MINIMAL gains from any intake. The best you can hope for is better throttle response and MAYBE 3rwhp (if that). The exuast is not better...maybe 3-5hp. If you want to eliminate heat bog, get the Hondata gasket and mugen cooling mods. I/H/E at best, are going to give you 7-10hp for over 1K in parts.

Well if I was to choose, I'll say get the intake as it will give you more performance than the exhaust which will get you more benefit from weight savings than any hp.
