Default Comptech Exhaust & Headers

Who has this exhaust and headers? How loud is the exhaust over stock. Really loud or too loud?

It complements. Not harsh. Not too loud compared to other aftermarket exhausts. Not throaty. In between. Deep and smooth.

If an exhaust can sound "classy," the Comptech would be it.

Exactly, man. You won't regret it, but I recommend you try your best to hear the exhausts in person. It is a very subjective pick since no exhaust provides any real gains. And all exhausts tend to sound the same when you engage into VTEC. The Comptech resonates a lot in between 3K-5K when partially on the throttle.

Hope this helps you out a bit.

I had the Comptech mufflers on my TL and I eventually took it off for two reasons:

(1) The droning on the highway was irritating after a while.

(2) The bright stainless steel made the shaking of the exhaust on the rubber hangers very noticeable in the back.

After taking off the mufflers off, I missed how good the car rumbled to life on startup and sounded when revved. But on the highway life was so much better.
