Default Comptech exhaust, My God!

I just had my comptech exhaust installed on my AP1. After a few minutes of driving, I have one thing to say.......MY GOD, was it loud. It has a nice and deep tone, but loud. Cruising and idle is pretty normal compared to the stock. But when throttled, it is loud. I thought that the comptech was pretty subtle in terms of sound. I couldn't imagine what you owners/ex-owners of invidia exhaust have to go through. It'd probably made your ears bleed or something. I do have a supercharger, so that might contribute to the loudness.

As some members mention before, I do noticed that the left exhaust tip sticks out little more than the right tip. What's up with that? Are comptech machinary not calibrated?

I had only heard it from a handful of people who owns the comptech. But its enough people for a large group of members to know about it.

I'm afraid to push it up to 6k rpm before my ears settles in.

Hmmm... this is strange. I never heard of anyone saying that a comptech was this loud before. I've heard one in person and I didn't think it was very loud.

I know when I first got my Comptech it was very loud. Once it broke in it quieted down considerably

do you know if it was the exhaust that quiet down, or your ears got used to it?

Are you sure you're not running a test pipe?

If you've never heard an aftermarket exhaust on your car, then even the quietest one will seem loud at first. Give it a while, and see if you become accustomed to it.
