I find that any exhaust for the s2k will be louder in the cab than any other car. The s2k's i belive have no sound dentning from the factory and the fact that the car is very short, we are closer to the mufflers. I think what you are hearing most is the low rpm droning.

The uneven of the tip was basically noticed right after the installation. After the exhaust gets hot after driving, they do stick out little more, but still uneven. Maybe there are certain bunch of it are like that. Who knows.

I will try to get a video/sound clip of the exhaust. Maybe my idea of loud might be different from you guys. But I have owned 98 eclipse, 94 RX-7, and now S2000.......and S200 is in my opinion the loudest. At least its not like fart can loud, but nice deep tone loud. I will get some footage later.

I have Comptech exhaust on an AP2. It is just about right. It can be a little loud around 3K if your cruising and step on the gas a little. I think it resinence not really exhaust noise. Above 3500 it goes away. The Comptech lets you cruise quietly and have some great sound when you want them. Wait until you get a CAI. Stick with a Comptech CAI. All the other are LOUD, real loud! You can still cruise quietly and then hit the loud pedal. With the Comptech combination you really have to hear it- Impressive!

I have the comptech S/C with comptech exhaust. Tock everything else as far as engine breathing goes. Yes, the comptech exhaust is loud only when you step on it. It sound stock when you are idle or cruising at a constant speed. I'm growing to like it (or know how to control it with a little foot work).

I have the comptech on the AP2 as well. I love the sound of it when I get on the gas but the droning noise gets to be a bit unenjoyable at times when I just want to cruise around at low rpm. Is there anyway to get rid of the droning? I see that they offered quiet tips but only on the AP1. Why's that?

There's quite a few threads if you search for sound proofing. Quiet car is a great product that has eliminated the drone for me. But it does require that you yank out all of the interior, coat the cabin as well as the trunk...well worth it imo.

I am definitely getting the Comptech. I had Comptech exhaust on my 05' TSX and it was low and not too loud...but was loud enough when you wanted it to be. Not that that would be a deciding factor for THIS car though. To be honest, I've heard a few exhausts that I've liked just as much, but I love how the Comptech looks similar to the stocker...I'm a sucker for dual

It 's not that loud.
Had a Fujit before, and switched to a Copmtech, because it was too quiet, just like stock.
