COMPTECH ICE BOX, YOUR THOUGHTS?
Either mod will be fun, but yield little gains. Don't get this thinking abouts gains or you'll be disappointed. Rather, look to reduce heatsoak (now that it is almost winter
) and throttle response. You'll get both from these two choices.
You'll also gain some "roar" with the Comptech and a little CF under the hood (if you care about CF). Since it routes over to the corner of the engine bay where the fender hole is cut, you'll pull fresh air. Open up the fake vent in the bumper for even more flow.

I just put the comptech icebox in and since the cold weather has arrived in cincinnati, all I can say is WOW. I noticed more torque especially down low in the RPM range..I think it is a very good product for the money. One other thing real quick, I cut out a whole in the front bumper which leads the air directly up to intake..

BUT DOSENT THE CAR SUCK HOT AIR FROM THE ENGINE BAY, FROM THE HOLE ON THE TOP OF THE BOX? I MEAN ITS A PRETTY BIG HOLE SO EVEN IF THE INTAKE SUCKS AIR FROM THE FENDER, ITS SUCKING JUST AS MUCH HOT AIR FROM THE TOP OF THE LID... I DONT KNOW IF I CAN LIVE WITH THAT.. DONT YOU GUYS?

what is this fake vent in the fender you speak of?
".........Here is a picture of my front bumper. The AP1 has a more pronounced vent that is offset towards the outside on each side.
The Comptech goes to the opening above the passengers side vent. I trimmed them out with a dremel tool and bought the 3-piece stainless grill set from Coastal Metals.
