Comptech (rubbing) strut bar group buy
Guys,
Are we doing anything about this? Is it likely the problem will be addressed or is everyone happy with theirs?
I'm concerned about the long term effects on the hood. I had a stiff spring on an alarm relay and it was enough to kink the hood. And we all know how even Honda recommends you do not force it close by applying hand pressure.

I talked to Bob at CompTech last Thursday. He said that the strut bar is made this way so that the SuperCharger can fit underneath it. He didn't give me the impression that they are working on a 'fix'.
Yes, my strut bar does hit the hood a little and it forces me to drop the hood from a higher position than before. So far, I don't see a bulge on my hood nor do I see the strut bar rubbing through the insulation under the hood. Since I drive about 100 miles a day, I should notice any side effects fairly quickly. I'll post a warning if I notice anything.
