Default Comptech Side Skirts, Help??

I bought the comptech fiberglass side skirts and am having a hell of a time getting them to fit on the car. My problem seems to be with the rubber trim piece that goes between the car body and the side skirts as a seal. Any one else install their own and can give me some pointers??

I called comptech, but they didn't have any answers. I used trim adhesive to glue the rubber gasket to the side skirt and then installed the skirts on the car. Problem is they dont fit flush and the rubber starts to peel up in places and there is a gap between the rubber trim and the body. I hope I haven't confused everyone, but I'm a little confused myself, especially since Comptech does not provide instructions for installing these things.

Z3toS2K, contact Larry at Body Werks. Check out www.bodywerksauto.com and get their contact info. His car is sponsored by Comptech and he has the Comptech skirts on. I think they look fantastic.

Tell him I asked you to call him. He's a good friend.

Hope that helps!

Z3toS2K,

We supply installation instructions with the side skirts. I don't know what happened to yours, but I'd be happy to fax you a copy of them. Call me at 916-933-1080.

Did you get them directly from us, or thru a dealer?

Mike

Thanks Greg,
I'll give Larry a call and see what they did.

Mike at Comptech,
I'll give you a call about those instructions. When my skirts arrived there were no instructions so I called you guys up. The gentleman on the phone said you don't have any instructions and that most people have them installed at body shops, who will know how to do it. Myself and the body shop that painted them tried fitting them but we've had no luck. The skirt fits fine, it is the rubber trim that seems to be the problem. Any ways I appreciate your response and will ask for you directly in the future.
