I might be mistaken, but I thought they were 4895? Maybe there's a cheaper price on the group buys section, or they may have lowered it. Check on their website, comptechusa.com maybe..

You can buy it direct from Comptech, but you'll pay full price. There are a number of "dealers" who sell them and prices vary. I've seen them as low as $4300 and that was a couple of months ago. A shop selling Honda performance parts may be able to get them. What ever you do, be aware that you will pay a $200 core charge for the pulley which you will get back when you return it. Be sure you have this arranged with your dealer and know in what the form the refund will be - cash not credit! Also, there is often a backlog of orders. I waited about 6 weeks for mine. Comptech only does about 6-8 at a time - at least that's how it was a few months ago. I stopped by there and they had SC kits all lined up waiting for their component parts to arrive to fill some orders. The package is about the size of a medium size TV (won't fit in the S2000 trunk). Unpacked it does fit in the trunk. Lots of Styrofoam!

These sort of sweeping statements really get my back up.

Fact is, done properly SC and TC a high compression engine is not a problem. By 'done properly' I refer to ensuring charge air cooling and adjusting timing to avoid detonation.

the Comptech runs 6psi with a minor MAP sensor tweek. The proposed Vortech runs more than 6psi with the help of an aftercooler and probably something like the MAP sensor tweek. The Speedcraft turbo runs 8 psi from a much lower RPM with an intercooler and FMU.

If there's one thing I've noticed in these days of technological innovation is that a sure way of being wrong is to say something can't be done.

Any of the Comptech SC owners have info about how hard it was to install?

Also any links for magazine or on-line reviews of the SC performance... Thanks.

Not bad, only hard part is getting the crank pulley off. You need to get or make a special tool to hold the crank from spinning as you loosen the bolt.
The fuel pump isn't hard if you go in thru the trunk instead of over the back of the seat per their instructions.
