Maybe, why? You got some specific questions or are we just keeping score?

I talked to Comptech about the certification process a while ago (I don't remember why it came up in the conversation) and in addition to the paperwork, CARB apparently also requires extensive testing which is paid for by the applicant (ie, you or speedcraft). In the case of the comptech SC, I was told that it was almost $10K for the certification testing.

I installed mine over the course of a few nights during last winter in my garage... The only difficulty was removing the main crank pulley bolt (mentioned before) and making sure that the fixture from the oil-return hose doesn't hit/rub against the front frame cross-member (under the stock aircleaner box). Other than that it was sort of fun... I purchased the kit (5th one made) just for the fun of installing it...

You should be able to do it if you have sound knowledge of what's what on the car. Just for reference, it's harder than swapping out a differential but easier than changing the clutch. (If you don't think you can do the diff then don't try it, or if you think you could handle a clutch R&I then the SC should be no problem, get it?). Have Fun

It's really quite easy to install. Clean the paint surface squeaky clean, remove the tape backing and press on. No big deal!

Oh, I almost forgot. It's way under $4895.
