Default Comptech vs Mugen exhaust

I had always wanted a Mugen exhaust but they are so expensive ... recently got to experience a Comptech exhaust and liked it very much. Can anyone compare these for me from personal experience? So, I am in a dilemma on what to get now. I have checked out the s2000library.com site and saw the video clips of some of the exhausts. These seem to sound quite close to each other. Thanks!

Well the S is a daily driver, so it cannot be too loud and drone too much either .... that's why my choices are limited.

I have the Fujitsubo and it doesn't drone or loud. It sounds pretty much like stock unless you go Vtec

The comptech is a great exhaust at a great price. The sound is relatively low rumble with a minimal drone at about 3000 rpm. Not significant, but its there. I would say it is much quieter than the high-pitched fart cans in the tuner market. Good quality piece with excellent welds. The exhaust comes in 3 pieces for easier shipping. Installed myself in about 2 hours using jacks stands.

I've got a Comptech and a friend has a Mugen. I personally prefer the Comptech. It's less expensive, sounds better IMO (the Mugen is a bit too quiet for me), and looks better IMO (I like the polished look). The only advantage I'd give to the Mugen is the name and weight.

I have a comptech and my friend has a mugen. Very similar sound. Comptech is a little deeper sounding at idle and vtech. For the price and the look, I think you can not go wrong with Comptech. Add the CAI..trust me, nothing sounds sweeter at vtech than a comptech cai.

I have a comptech.

Objectively: Build quality is top notch like everything that comes out of that place. Nice welds. Perfect fit. Looks beautiful polished. Comptech is etched (?laser) on the tips but you can only see it if you get real close and only from above.

Subjectively: It definitely drones especially when driving up a slight incline (not too difficult to find around these parts ). Since mine is a weekend car, I don't mind the tradeoff of having a real exhaust note back there.
But, honestly if I had to commute any distance on the freeway it would drive me nuts. Again, subjective.

It definitely does NOT have either the raspy or farty sound of some aftermarket stuff you hear a mile away.
