I installed Rick's Xbrace about a month ago. Did it make a big difference? No, but I do notice less harsh ride and better cornering on bumpy roads. I considered the Comptech brace, but comparing pictures of the two braces leads me to believe that Comptech would have more flex than Rick's, and the purpose is to minimize flex. Rick's Xbrace is very solid, but I don't have any personal experience with any others.

It also doubles as an Oil Pan protector too. A few owners have tested this and it works too. I am sure they would have rather not tested it.

does the ricks bar effect oil changes at all. Also how long did it take you guys to recieve your x brace from ricks. I was reading, and if i understand correctly it said it was a solid piece without welds. To me that just sounds like a better idea since it doesnt have anyplace where it might break easier than another. Thanks for the help.

Ricks should not interfere with oil changes based on others previous post. i have Ricks but the car only has 1500 miles on it therefore, no oil change yet. took less than 2 weeks to receive the brace. quality is top notch, install was stupid simple.

If they are worth their engineering, the realize the car doesn't need it and they won't make one. Be glad they don't, energetic. It will save you some money.

There is actually 3 differant versions of it out there. The first was made from a single billet. The second was still a single billet for the crossment, but the mounting point were welded. The last version (current for about 2+ yrs) is still a single billet for the cross but the mounting point are glued and pressed in place. The mount points are really just spacers and are not load bearing.

Every change made to the design was to drop the retail price. If it was still a single piece design, it would cost about 7-800 at the current metal prices.
