Condition of top latch strike plate

I do EXACTLY the same thing, for EXACTLY the same reasons! Having the top up also keeps the dust down a bit. I keep the windows open part way. I leave the latches hanging down unclipped to remind me that the top is not secured. (I'm forgetful that way...)
