There are people who drive the S during winter. You need to get good snow tires though. Personally, I wouldn't feel comfortable driving it in the snow. The reliability of the s2000 is great. I would not have gotten the s2000 if I didn't have a beater for winter time.

I put a set of Dunlop Winter Sport M3s on mine every winter and it's fine. Unless you get stuck in deep snow you can drive anywhere. They're great in the rain too.

Don't even think about using the stock tires in snow. I wouldn't even use them once the temperature falls below 40* or so, because they turn into hockey pucks with not much grip in freezing temps.

I bought a set of AP1 wheels and keep the M3s on those.

If you are unsure about a decision, then don't make it.

Yea I personally wouldn't have gotten my S if I didn't have a beater for the winter. Of course I've heard it's manageable with some serious snow tires.

I live in nj too and I'm thinking about buying an s2000 too
I had a AP1 last year during the summer but sold it before winter not because winter was coming but because of some other issue.

my rational is, it's gonna snow in winter no matter what but not 24/7 and unless it's really bad the town's gonna clear the roads pretty quickly..well first of all I'm gonna try not to drive at all when there is any snow on the ground unless I had to.

let me tell you one thing, you will never regret buying one.
