the consequences are usually speeding tickets from the local revenue assessors.

You prob. won't make it as far down the road before you need to refill your tank.

the question might be, would vtec'n increase engine wear or tansmission wear??

Some say that the higher the rpm the better the oil dispersal and flow so that would mean if you stay in 8000 RPM range, it isn't any different than if you were at 4000. Would this be true?

On high speed runs, where VTEC is used a lot, I have very little oil burn, but town driving ... sheesh it's an oilaholic!

Its a good question- one I've wondered myself- will your car end up like those smoke billowing Civics and Acura Integras you see traveling around town?

LOL cthree...

I *knew* I wasn't the only one. Every time I get in the car, I'm grinning like a fool before I'm out of our neighborhood. Matter of fact, my cheeks are hurting from my drive yesterday

I used to own a Prelude and I could have sworn I VTECed it at least 3-4 times a day. She's fine after 4yrs. Another friend who has one of the first Integra GSR - he drive the living daylight out of it and it's still running perfectly fine.

For god sake it's a Honda drive it the way it was meant to
