Considering getting an s2000.
I currently own a 2007 Subaru impreza 2.5i and with the summer coming up, im looking at getting something more fun. Considering getting an s2000. Any advice? Things to look out for or to consider?

I have a 2000 S2000. Red interior. Love the beast but am now considering the possibility of selling. Easy thoughts during the winter months but boy do I have 2nd thoughts while driving it.
Not quite convinced to sell, but will be moving in a couple months and unsure if I can get safe covered parking.
Good luck finding one...you'll love it.

I should balance that last post out by saying I have zero second thoughts about buying an s2k. I love the car. So much so, I bought two!

Being a slow learner I've had three (3) roadsters as daily drivers. No more. My S2000 is strictly a summer, second car although now that I'm in Virginia rather than Ohio I don't take the car completely out of service for 5 months every year. Car is parked in a locked garage. Ragtops are magnets for thieves with the master key (AKA box cutter). Stories abound here of theft and damage.

If you love driving
And not just being pushed back in your seat by pure power, you can't make a better decision than an S. For me, there is no better feeling than to brake late into a turn and feel the car track exactly where you point it.

All it is really going to take for the OP to want one is to drive one. This car is not a Miata or some run of the mill sports car. The performance AND handling are outstanding but everyone here knows that. I bought mine a week ago and I have been all smiles since then.
I couldn't own this car if I didn't already have a year round driver like my 2016 Rav 4 with all wheel drive. I would feel terrible driving the S2000 in the winter or leaving it outside at work to bake in the sun. The ONLY reason I decided it was time to own one is because I have two other vehicles to share road time with. I have loved the S2000 since they were new.
