Default Consumer Reports Oct 05

Included are Boxster,SLK,Corvette, 350Z,S2000,Z4 and Elise.

There is a lot of stuff in this article but one thing that really popped out is that the S2000 was $9000 less than than the next cheapest car, 350Z.(as tested prices)

Another thing is they got a 5.8 sec 0-60 and 14.4 quarter. I think these are very good numbers since I don't think CR does 6500rpm clutch drops to get started. The 0-60 and quarter times were bested only by Corvette and Elise.

They of course complain about the ride, the noise, the small trunk, the cramped cockpit, the lack of low end torque. But they call the tranny the best 6 speed they ever tested and they loved the handling and agility and acceleration.

Thanks for the info. I thought one of the mags once got a 13.9 1/4. Maybe it was a dream.
