I like this board much more than Spyderchat. Anyway, thanks for the tips. I'm not even sure what 4.44 gears even do, though.
I would never touch the s2k shifter. The throw, feel, solidity, shiftknob, it's all flawless and the best I've ever felt. I guess 17s would be cool, but the stock 16s are pretty nice looking. As for standing apart from other s2ks, I'll think of something.

I told my wife two things: Never let me buy another car that I have to mod to be happy with......
I can't understand the reasoning for this.....but.....to each his own........I love the tunability and customizable nature of my car....that's what makes it so fun.......3-4 turbo kits for it.......3-4 supercharger kits for it (around 7 if you include intercooling for them).....countless intake/exhaust combos.......and a ridiculous amount of interior goodies to personalize the car.
Modding is like placing your signature on your vehicle.......at an open house for a Miata service shop in atlanta, there were 250 Miatas and each one was completely different from the next. the stories behind them were equally interesting too.
The reasoning is quite simple. I didn't enjoy my TT until I had sunk 10K into it. I can enjoy the S2K stock AND enjoy modding it.
Also, when we were both laid off within the same month, I had to spend 3 solid weekends taking all of my mods off of the TT to return it to stock to be able to sell. Theres a lot of emotion and time invested in fully modding a car out - and I don't think I have it in me to do it and undo it again - hence my search for a great "out-of-the-box" experience. My point isn't to discourage others from modding (my other car is a fully modded A4) but to express how great the S is from the get go. Quite literally the first car I have ever owned which doesnt NEED to be modded.
