I can put mine on within two minutes without rushing. Once you do it a few times it becomes very simple. I even use all the snaps on the roll bar .

I just spent 30 minutes trying to get the boot on my 05 and quit!

This thing sucks!

I cannot get both middle snaps to stick.

yea more acurazine peps. The boot is a PINTA and that is why it is sitting in my basement where it has stayed for 5 years. No real need for it except slightly better looks

Leave it out in the sun for 30 minutes or so and it'll become pliable. After a few tries with it warm it'll naturally expand to the eyelets and like others have said will only take a couple minutes at most to install.

I found with my 99 model, that if I have the sides of the cover folded in, it allows me to connect up the middle snaps. Then I unfold the sides and connect those up.

Convertible boot,...... convertible boot?? Oh, you mean that ugly thing in the corner of the garage with a three year aggregation of dust and cobwebs....

..
My apologies for being a bit ill humored. On Friday evening, I heard a loud bang from the garage, which signified that one of the springs for the 300+ lb double door had broken. My S2000 has been held captive all weekend. Tomorrow morning, service will arrive to replace the spring and free it, to once again enjoy the South Carolina sunshine. And, I'm still not using that silly boot cover.

Yep, you caught me. I am a two-time TL owner.

I finally got the boot to stick. I have left it on since Saturday hoping it will stretch a little. We shall see when I remove it later this week.

The car is awesome so far!

By the way, IMO, the car looks very clean with the boot in place.

The boot cover was a pain at first, but I remember getting to a point where I could put it on within 30 seconds. The thing is I loved the way the car looked with it on. However, it was designed horribly and continues to be one of the worst features of the car. An auto boot cover is really missed and in this day and age, is becoming standard on most other vehicles. Back in the day you could only point to the Boxster and the MR Spyder. That's not the case anymore.

It takes more time to go around the car than to attach the boot for me. My car never leaves the house without it
