Default The Convertible Heat Setting

You know the one I'm talking about. Between Top & Bottom, and Just bottom I think it is. With the arrow in the car picture.

I never use this setting. With the top down if I wanna have the heat on I always use top and bottom. The convertible setting doesn't seem to keep me warm at all. Anybody use this ever?

I actually use it more when the top is up and do not want the heat blowing directly on me. maybe its just me.

If I remember correctly this setting blows air out of the footwell vents, the center vent (above the radio door) to heat your shifter hand, and the left dash to heat your steering hand.

It was designed to keep the bulk of the air (heat) inside the cabin with the top down, but works great with the top up as well.

This setting does wonders with the top down. I had to get used to it at first, but once you start to get warmed up, its fantastic.

Heres a question though...does this setting blow air from behind the seat? There are very tiny vents behind each seat, and I've never tested it out. Anyone know?

They are used as vents to vent air out of the cabin.

I love that setting. I don't always want a windstorm on my face and it does well.

There's a mod that someone documented somewhere, I think it was Modifry. He put in a little redirector on the duct by the gas pedal so his ankle stopped getting burnt constantly. That duct can get hot.

It's for using the air conditioning with the top down. Works great for that.
