Default Convertible Top Cover - Alternative?

I looked for an alternative to the OEM Conv Top Cover - I like the clean look & the protection the OEM cover offers but ours is a bit of a PITA to put on & off - takes up too much trunk room if stored in car...

Found this alternative ...The idea is a good one - the execution ends up being ugly IMHO - expensive too - this one anyway

Conv Cover

Not for me. I will stick with the OEM. Nice try on their part though.

I put my cover on once. Then it went into storage.
It looks cleaner, but I dont think the car looks bad without it. I just dont want the hassle of taking it on and off when I park the car.

I've never used the OEM tonneau cover. It just seems like such a pain to have to put any sort of cover on.

I think someone should develop a spandex-type of cover that can be stretched over the top and stored in the trunk when not in use. Something like that probably wouldn't take up too much space, right? Ricks2k.com. . . hint hint.

It takes me 15-20 seconds to put on, or remove the OEM top. The one on that link looks scary to me, and would probably take longer to smooth all the winkles out. To me, there is no compairison on looks.

I also think this soft cover is poorly designed in that it will fill up with air and buffet dramatically as soon as the car begins to move forward...

I posted this top cover as an item of interest NOT something I was attracted too.

I can get the OEM top cover on & off in probably under a minute - storing it in the trunk is inefficient use of space - I think the top cover is one of the few weak links in the overall design of the S2000...
