Default Convertible top latch tension.

I just had my drivers side convertible top latch replaced (under Warentee).
The new latch take about double the force to close as the old latch & as the passenger side latch. The car is fairly new & the latches have hardly been used.
Should the force required to close the latches be the same on the left & right side? I'm a little concerned that maybe the pressure on the seal is now different from side to side?
If the tension should be adjusted, how do I do it?
Thanks

I'm a bit confused

So you mean even the old latch has not been used much? How many miles do you have on the older latch?

I think it may be a matter of wear/tear, if nothing's getting caught at the seal area, and if the latch doesn't look like it's severly off from where it's mounted originally (which I can't see how that could happen).

The car only has 4000 miles & the top has only been down a few times. I broke the plastic housing when I was putting ept sealant in between the latch & housing (trying to stop a rattle). Of course I didnt tell the dealership I broke it. They fixed it under warrantee........errrr I mean WARRANTY.
So, now I have 2 latches that take different amounts of pressure to close. I was just worried this might cause a wind leak down the road.
Thanks

Make sure the hook hits the striker at the right part. The engagement point has a lot to do with the tension. Make sure the striker catches right in the middle. Other than that, I don't think it's a big deal.
