Convertible top operation with engine running
I always start the engine BEFORE putting the top up or down, so the top operation doesn't drain the battery. I think it's just a recommendation Honda makes for safety reasons. If there were any chance of damaging the car, they'd have put some kind of lockout in to prevent the top from operating while the engine was running.
I don't remember reading this either, and it would be easy for Honda to enforce mechanically. The already require the e-brake to be up a vehical speed sensor reading of 0mph.
