I know there is an extensive thread on this but I need quick advice as i am going to see my service advisor and his head tech at lunch today. My car is an 00, 41K and has the abrasion and soon to be hole on both sides aof the top where others are having the same problem. I can see daylight shining through the drivers side. I purchased the extended warranty. I have pics of the other tops that are damaged. It's my understandign that the general consensus is that this is a design defect caused by the plastic pieces inside the car near the abraded area. The more you put the top up and down the more excessive this area becomes. I know the 02's had this problem fixed but I'm not totally clear of the exact fix. Can someone help me with this as I want to be totally armed when I see these guys. Sorry for a new post on the same subject but I need to get some info before noon. Thanks for any help.
