Default Convertibles cause hearing loss

Not sure if this one's been posted before. I know I'm not rolling my windows up though.

We've been signing at each other for years about this subject. Someone actually made measurements.

I'm not saying that the noise from driving a convertible can't potentially cause hearing loss but if you dig further these measurements were taken with an iPhone and not an actual, calibrated device designed for such measurements. There's apparently also some question as to the weighting method that DBmeter Pro uses.

The S2000 is very quiet with the top down even at interstate speeds. I rarely have to roll my windows up to make a phone conversation. Some convertibles are much louder.

this is exactly what I do if i'm going to be on the interstate for more than a few minutes.

i'm a drummer, too, so i'm fairly anal about preventing hearing loss

I think the drone on a loud exhaust is much worse. When my friends and I piled into a friend's Integra for a 10hour drive we all wore ear-pro, luckily I went big-time and got the T1R 70em, so I don't get drone
