Wow, has this gotten off topic!

Mindcore, I suspect your grind only shows up when the parts have expanded from the heat. I noticed the gear linkage gets pretty warm too. I don't have that problem, but you're right the heat does have to go somewhere

Sloopy, try a search for some answers. And please use the spell check. Oh, there is no cure once you have the mod bug!

Okay. So the "seat-of-the-pants pyrometer" says things are definitely cooler. Ambient temps dropped significantly in the last few days since install, but I don't feel any heat coming from there now. Next up. Stiffer chassis.
