Default cooling questions: header and heated engine

I have a toda header and it gets really HOT in my engine bay specially after a long drive. It hasnt directly affected my car in terms of performance but I want to make sure I let the heat out.

I know a vented CF hood would solve this problem but is there any other way to cool down the engine bay? preferably without spending too much money.
i heard thermostat and fan switch wouldnt really do the job.

My other question is would the engine bay get hotter if I were to remove my OEM heat shield? I read somewhere on the forum and heat shield is not necessary for our cars in the US. I just dont see how it would make a difference in temperature

Thanks Chris...
so basically, a vented hood and thermostat-fan switch?

I have a reason for not getting a replica CF hood. As you know I had one and the fitment wasnt perfect. It was good enough but not great. Painting the CF hood is a great idea but it would cost about $600.00 so it would cost me $900.00 ($300.00 for an used CF hood and 600.00 for a paint job) to get a painted hood. I might as well just buy an used authentic CF hood for 1200.00 which i am considering right now

BTW I could get you a deal on the same type of hood I have. Near your $1200 price and thats new. Shipping would be another $150. Call me later.
