Cost of passenger rear quarter panel repainted?
I just noticed the quarter panel was keyed completely end to end (horizontally). When I called the dealership bodyshop, they told me they would have to take apart the convertible top in order to repaint that panel (They have one guy that specializes doing this). The guy then tells me, the paint isn't going to kill me, it's going to be the labor hours taking apart the canvas top. How much is this suppose to cost on average, so I can know if I'm getting ripped off when I go there on Tueday for the estimate. Thanks!
Normally, a quarter panel repaint should cost about $200 to $500 dollars depending on where you are; and the quality of the shop.
Yes, it would be good to feather it into under the top but not necessary.

Two months after getting my car this dumb ass makes an illegal turn ("I did not see your little car.") and hits me in the left rear, denting the rear quarter and putting a deep scratch in the rear bumper cover. To compound matters, while fighting the his insurance company, someone takes a box cutter and peals open the top while standing on the center support, bending the bar downward. They also broke open the center glove box since it was locked.
To repair the dent, repaint the left rear and replace the bumper cover was around $1,800 - $2,000. To replace top canvas, top mechanism, and center box, I think was around $2,000 as well.
Although it took some time to repair, car now looks perfect.

Some asshole shot mine with a bb gun in the driver's side rear quarter panel while I was at tgi friday's last summer. Total cost of repair was $400 including dent removal. I had it done at 20/20 autobody in the City of Industry, CA. They do excellent work for a reasonable price and they get things done very quickly. They are responsible for the bodywork and paint on many of the show cars you see in import magazines and at car shows here in SoCal.

Tommy is the owner and will deal directly with you if/when you come in. But be warned, his english isn't so great.
I see you're in Texas, so you probably wont be going to 20/20, but I figured some of the people in SoCal might want the info.
