Wish I could tell you, but I just have the tools I use for it in a bag! Search around for it though, I have a thread on it somewhere that states the size drill bit and tap I use.

I have a spare knob here, I'll make one for ya
Did you use a drill press or did you hold the knob in a vice and do it with a hand drill?

i wrapped the knob in a big welding glove and put it on a vise and drilled slowly as evenly as i could...i just recently got a drill press so i'll be doing it over and making it more even

After some searching, I have discovered that the thread size is a 10 x 1.25mm

I might try to mod my 02' leather wrapped knob.

Wrapped the knob in a towel, put it in a vice, and drilled by hand.

It will probably fall apart on your since the knob is not solid. Best case scenario you'll just have to glue it all back together when you're done. It will be much harder though, especially since the threaded insert is steel instead of aluminum like the 00-01 knob.

Great. Thanks for letting me know though before I ruined a good knob.

I am now thinking I may commision a co-worker who owns a machine shop to make one for me. this way I can get the shape and weight I want. Probably alot cheaper too.

I'm like the majority of the people here. Voodoo is the only knob I like the feel of.

I've used the OEM AP1, OEM AP2, a heavier knob that was borrowed from another member, I don't recall which one it was, and have had 2 different Voodoo knobs.

I'm not big into the feel of balls in my hand That's the ony reason I don't think the voodoo will work for me. Seriously, I am not a fan of the shape. The more oblong examples seem to be better for me.

As far as I'm concerned the Muz knob really is the best. I had a Voodoo and the thing was too small I hated it. Not only is the Muz slightly bigger but if engraved the set screw allows you to place the shift pattern perfectly.
