Default Cover Boot

How the heck can anyone put this on?
I've tried several times but there is not enough room to snap the buttons along the back edge.
Any suggestions? besides throw it to the back of the garage & forget bout it!

[size=1][b] throw it to the back of the garage & forget bout it!

nope, that's where mine is. Its nearly impossible to put on, so unless I planned on not taking it off for years at a time, not worth the effort.

which is too bad, becuase it does look better. That's one of the few things I miss about the Toyota MR2-Spyder: the top was "self booting"

Maybe it's my small yet nimble hands, but I have no problems putting the cover on by myself.

One of the snaps came off of my car like 2 months after I bought it. I ordered a new part, but have yet to even pick it up from the dealership. . . I just can't be bothered with that boot. I'm sure many more people will pipe in with similar words of advice.

I hear people say this all the time, but I can put mine on by myself in about 1 minute, and take it off in under 1 minute. It does get easier each time you use it.

What year do you have RED S2K HEAVEN? The earlier models have more snaps to do up....

Heres a question What year model is yours? I could not get the cover on when I first bought my car, and came to this board immediatly to find out the problem. My problem was that the top was not folding all the way due to worn elastic straps that pull the 2nd bow back during folding. So when I went to put the cover on it lacked about an inch from going on to the snaps. You have 2 options if this is the case.... 1. When the top is halfway back push the 2nd bow back so it folds with the rest of the top. 2. Get the elastic straps replaced under warrenty (there is a TSB for this check the libarary). I just flipped the bow back for a while then i found the TSB and had it done. You can see if the straps are worn, you can tell visually just by there condition. It sounds like that may be your problem.

By the way once you get the problem resolved its pretty easy to put the cover on. There are a few tricks to learn, but I can install or take mine off within about a miniute now.

Yeah I just put the ends on then fold the middle down and it falls into place, you don't need to "SNAP" the middle snaps they just go on by themselves.

It really finishes off the rear. I only use it when it's a nice sunny day and I know the top will be down the whole time.
