What do you guys think of this?

There is a guy you can send your boot too and he has a special process to change the color of it that won't crack and is durable.

Should I leave it black, or change it to red?

dt49396-- My car is a 2001- just purchased 3 weeks ago..
The previous owner never had it on cause it was still in the sealed plastic bag
You may be right about the top not folding down all the way- it does seem to stick up a bit
When I try to put the boot on it seems too short to reach the snaps
I don't know about the straps you're talking about, but I'll try to push down the 2nd(bow) when it's halfway down
If the top will lay more flat then maybe I'll have a better chance of reaching the snaps
The boot does look good on, gives the car a more finished look
thanks for your help...

I like the silver one, personally...but I cant tell if it matches the paint well or not from the photo. If it is an exact match, yeah, if its off, I like the red.
As far as getting it on, you should snap the leading edge in first, then push the back down and kind of feed it under the weather stripping with the little plastic tabs. If you do not snap it first, the rear will continually pop out (ANNOYING!). The front being snapped puts pressure on the rear when it is put under the weather stripping and keeps it from popping.

The later models have a different number/layout of the snaps comparecd to early models.
On my 99 model I found it easiest to leave the tonneau cover in its "folded up" state, do up the middle snaps, then unfold the sides and then do those up.
