Default Cover or sheet for inside of car when top is down.

Since our tops are prone to holes from wear, I don't like to put the top down if I'm only going to be away from the car for 10, 20, 30, 60 minutes. Does anyone here use a cover or sheet to protect the insides from sun/bird poop/dust when they leave their car outside with the top down? Wondering if there's any good ideas out there.

There are basically car covers for just the interior that you can purchase if you want to leave the top down.

I have one and use it frequently for just the reasons you mentioned.

It is a "Covercraft Evolution 4 Convertible Interior Cover". They make one specifically for the S2000. A number of outfits carry them. I got mine from:

I like the one linked above.

I have seen them twice before in person and they are pretty slick. I thought about getting one myself, but never did.

trapper, how does the cover stay on? Where does it latch on to so that it doesn't blow away on windy days.

Ok I got off my lazy butt and read through their site, they use velcro, wipers, and trunk tabs. From the comments the trunk tabs are for extra security such as very windy days.

When my car comes out of storage I will probably getting one of those.

The S2000 Evolution cover is 89.95 with free shipping.

Glad you got off your butt ...... better you reading their write up then me typing it ...

I use the trunk tabs all the time ...... Why not, since I've got the trunk lid open anyway to get it. It makes the cover "look" better when you use them since it tightens it a bit.

How come no one makes a tonneau cover for the S, you know the way cool covers that cover up the entire cockpit and unzip down the middle so you can drive the car. Think old Brit cars !

My FIAT had one, it was awesome on cold days, turn the heater on and leave the passenger side on, that would get all hot and toasty and the heat would come out on me. Also was great when it rained since I could keep the top down and drive keeping the majority of the car closed up.

I know that many people now call the boot cover and tonneau cover, but what comes with the S is a BOOT cover that covers only the top, a TONNEAU cover covers the seats and zips up the middle. The only problem I see is attaching it at the dashboard, in my Brit cars and FIAT it required drilling a hole in the dash to get the snap there but I am sure there are other ways around it.
