CPO Rules
Just got off the phone with a Honda dealer with a late model 2004 on their lot. They said they can't CPO it because it's currently 2010. But, looking at the in service date (August 04), it hasn't actually been 6 years.
Is it true they cannot CPO this car?
thanks

Err, I guess its CU. Other dealers call their used cars Certified Pre Owned, Honda seems to go with Certified Used.

doesnt' really matter if they can or they can't. if they choose not to then why argue with them. it's their car, there's plenty of used s2000s around.
maybe there's something else that they're not telling you.. say, an accident.

The car is still advertised as Certified, but when I called they said they had to remove it because the year changed to 2010.
Also, Honda's Certified Used is 7 years 100,000 miles, which gives it a year and a half of Warranty.
I'm gonna go in this weekend and try and get better answers out of them. The salesman that called me had no idea what was going on.

Dealer technicians recondition any component that does not meet our standards
Any component that cannot be reconditioned is replaced with Genuine Honda parts
