Default CR center console

Okay, this may be a dumbass question but I hope someone has the answer. I was looking at Hardtopguy to get pricing on an AP2 center console for my AP1. I wandered into the CR section and saw that there are two versions available, one for an AP1 upgrade and an AP2 upgrade. I am wondering what the difference is between the two. The AP2 is over $200 less than the AP1 but there are not really any details as to why. I assume it may have to do with the difference in switches. Thanks for any help you fine folks may have.

I'm wondering what an AP1 CR console would look like as all the CRs were AP2s, were they not?

^ yes they were, I believe that the difference is the lack of the defroster switch in the cosole, the price difference might just be the cost for the different switch cover plate

Yeah, the AP1 to CR upgrade looks like an AP2, just with the CR color scheme. But the $200 difference seems like a lot for a switch plate. I know OEM pricing is crazy but damn, that's nuts!
