OP, why do you need a Hardtop in PR? If I was in PR, I would ride top down everyday...

Except when there are torrential rains. Or oppressing humidity. Which is most of the time one or the other or both.

But yeah, a convertible top would be way more useful in that climate. Afternoon when its too hot, top up. Rain, top up. Cool morning or once sun goes down, top down. Cant do that with a hard top...

Spoken the Truth...

Tropical Island weather is easy to predict.. 50% chance of rain and 50% sticky hot after the rain... I don't get to drive the car often (bought the car new in October 2004 now with 306XX miles) but when I do always try to go top down (probably two or three Sundays in a year...). Anyways I got me hardtop but still needs some adjustments (A lot of them!) since we could not get the driver side latch to close. I'll be dealing with that this weekend...

To Vanishing Point.., I noticed that you updated the CR salvaged list but the VIN number that I saw in it contains one "X" after the second "2"... any particular reason as to why is that? A granny cell photo shows the "X"...

Here are some photos of the wrecked CR and the hardtop on my S...

Driver side latch not closed...Weekend project (Yay! or Yikes!)... I will keep you posted...
Thanks to all for the very useful suggestions!!!

I hope they take that CR inside or under cover now that the top is missing.
