Just got back from a late night canyon run.

I gotta say, that light is bright at night. It doesnt dim with the rest of the gauge cluster.

Can safely say I never hit the rev limiter tonight

i personally think the light is for the magazine reviewers etc who dont know how to drive the car and say the car has no power or torque anywhere and launch at 2k rpms and have 16 second quarter mile times.

the "type s" in japan, which is pretty much our CR, does not have the peak power indicator looking at some other video reviews on youtube from bmi, hot version etc

Just the CR.

And it's not that I dont know when to shift at redline. Just kinda surprised me how bright it was at night. Just cruising then suddenly a green light just starts flashing. And I'm thinking, "oh yea... that litte thing"

I think that's a shift light, not a "peak power" indicator.

no it's specifically stated by honda to be a peak power indicator. i'm pretty sure no one could come up with "peak power indicator light" on their own.

interesting, thats kind of a cool feature. I never even knew that was like that. If we had any CRs in Alaska, I might feel inclined to go and check one out then. Lol, we didnt get any up here though, so I guess I will have to wait till I go on vacation to check it out.

Blinking 3 times and then going to solid state, sounds like a shift light. That's what I would use it as anyway.
