Cracked windshield!
So I was on the freeway last night coming home from a friends birthday party, when all of a sudden I hear a pebble tap my windshield. Mind you, it was raining out so I couldn't really see much other than water.
Fast forward to this morning. I was gonna go out and run some errands, when all of a sudden I see a small crack the size of a thumbtack on the windshield! Shit! I inspect it from the outside. I could definitely feel the crack indented into the windshield.
So how much would a new windshield run? Or are there any "miracle" products that can get rid of the crack? Any advice would be helpful. Thanks in advance s2ki.

yeah there is a thread on the main page on this subjuect but o well I dont try to hate on people here.
I have a vertical crack from my rear view mirror all the way straight down. I've been seeing tons of cracked windsheild lately. I believe its due to the rainy season a lot of gravel/road breaks up and a car in front of you kicks it up and cracks your window. There's really not much you can do unless you only drive when theres no one else on the road.
Anyways a replacement window will cost you 250 - 300. I havent had mine done yet because I fear a poorly done job, Im going to take off the wipers and rain try myself when I have them do it...

I'll throw this out there as a possible option, I've used this service on two vehicles with good success.

Start by checking with your insurance company. Many have a lower deductible for windshield replacements than your comprehensive deductible (some state laws affect this - poor visibility and windshield integrity are safety issues).
