Default Crap, 5500 miles and first S2000 problem

My heater died today. I have never heard of a heater dying. It blows air but it does not heat it all. Any ideas guys?
I could schedule Weseloh Honda but it is about a 40 mile drive for me so if it is just a stuck valve or something I'll do it myself.

I've never heard of a heater dying. Especially with a nice engine to warm you up like the F20C. Hope you get it fixed fast! The cold days are coming.

Could be a sticky valve, check your fluids...it may be electrical. My old man has 25 years in the radiator/heat exchanger industry... these were his suggestions.

Check the fluid in the cooling system... if its low it wont get to the heater, causing it to blow out cold air. There is a valve that opens that allows the coolant from the engine to go to the heater. If this has been closed all summer, it might be stuck, which is not allowing the coolant to get to the heaterl.

I have the same problem too!!! I haven't been back home in a while though (away at school) so I haven't had time to get the dealer to look at it. I called them, but they said they haven't had any reported cases about S2000 heater problems. I kept on driving... hoping it would heat up... but it never did!! So if you get it fixed can you tell me what was wrong? I'm afraid by the time I can get home, the snow will be down trapping the S2000 in the garage until spring.....

OOOOOOO I know this one!!! The exact problem happened to my mom's accord last week. When you put the heat on it will blow air just not warm air. It's not cold air just cool air coming out. The problem was that a little lever that is connected to the knob became disengaged. We took it to the mechanic and got charged around $80 for him to just tie the little wire around the lever.

I can get pictures since it does sound more confusing then it actually is. It looked like a pain to actually get to the location since it is tight. On the accord this lever can be found under the hood very close to the dashboard on the passenger's side.

I'll be sure to take pics soon and try to get them up if that is your cause too.

I don't believe it's an electrical problem because we had the same problem. Before we took it to the mechanic we did check to make sure that there were no blown fuses or such. You might want to do that too. I believe there is a fuse for "heater blower" under the steering column. You can also check the fuses under the hood too.

It's easy enough to check if your heat control knob goes to the right place. Just look in the engine compartment where the heater temperature control determines how much water to let through. Either get someone to sit in the car and twist the knob, or set it to one extreme and have a look, then turn it the other way. This is what it looks like at "maximum cold". If the control wire has come off, you can always open the hood and manually set it to a temperature that seems to work for you.

====================
Edit:

Ignore all of the above. I just checked it out on my car and the part pictured here doesn't move with the heater knob. Duh.
