A mind is a terrible thing... ( to waste? or is this one already wasted?)
Z3 2.5 really- more expensive, by the time you get any add ons, and if he thinks the s2000 has body flex...

Written by a reviewer so renowned that they didn't even mention his/her name.

Negative reveiws? i havent read to many negative reveiws about the s2000, the main thing people cry about is the plastic window. I read that review awhile ago, i dunno no if that guy is trying to compare that car to a family sedan or sumthin? its a damn sports car and that what its meant to be? yes you can use it as a daily driver but of course you goin to have short comings, honda didnt design it to be a lincoln.

He must have left the rubber spacers in the springs...thats what happened to me.

I agree with the "at glance" pros and cons, but I think this guy is strictly missionary (if you know what I mean).

He even bitched about the seats being TO form fitting (heh, whata moron).

I have a bunch of cars; Sports - classic & SUV. When I bought the S2K this year I wanted a great car for the money (hard to find these days with Pickup trucks in the 40k range, ROFL)

I would have to say this is the most non-Honda best bang for the buck addrenaline rush for the 30k-40k range. In my opinion (In the U.S.) the only other bang for the buck cars out there are the C5 vette and the new M3 (dealer adjusted markup not included).

He probably didn't realize that the zero to 60 times in any rear drive car are affected by snowfall, lol.

I'm sure he hopped in his Front Drive Caravan (with the 68" big screen TV, that he had bought earlier) and thought "Man, I wonder if I actually put the "labled" Left sock on the Left foot today?"

my 2 sense

Yep... this guy must have come from the Buick Park Avenue department.

Cons: Engine Noise! Cons: Engine Noise!! It is clear this person doesn't get sports cars.

We should be thanking the reviewer though. He will keep the unenthused away from this car giving the real enthusiast a better chance of getting their hands on one.

Now get back to your Caddies and Town Cars!

My question is: how long does it take to get "used to" the red retro style starter button. Man, let me tell you, it took me months to hit that button consistently.

Couple of things IMHO:

He's right in for most target-audicences... its a STIFF ride (he clearly doesn't understand the difference)... Mom and Pop wouldn't like that.

Performance... you need to be told to drive the car like you hate it to get any... so he didn't dump the cluch.

The rest he said..prolly mostly "true". What he missed is what you do with the car, and his test environment: Snow?

He never got to "track" the car... and we all know in the cold the tires don't stick. So imagine his point of view:

Top up (who the hell drives with the top up... rembemer: Snowy conditions). And our cars are loud w/the top up... This means he has to look out that shitty rear window.
** Loud, low visibility, crappy rear window... I agree in this situation.

Cold, no traction no accel. He couldn't corner (when he did he slid the tail). Understandable. Dump the cluth for sub 6.0 launch? Nay.. too cold to get traction, again.

So, given his test environment... I won't drive my car in those conditions either.

Now..get him somewhere warmer...top down, warm tires.. GO GO GO!

Ohh..and as far as that starter button goes... I keep looking for one in my Truck. I'm addicted to it.

$.02,
Aaron

He is just the wrong reviewer. I saw a review on Carpoint which the guy summed it up by saying the Miata is about as good for a lot less. He complained about the engine noise, high revs being impractical, etc.

This car is impractical for the most part but it is a great car for lovers of real roadsters and racing style cars.

If a great sounding high reving engine does nothing for you like the reviewer then there is not much of a way to argue with the guys review. It appeals to certain personality types.
