You needed to browse into the link given in my previous post

This one shows a S2K going off the road ... surely during a S2K meeting somewhere ...
Harmless by COMPARISON. The link you posted shows the Japanese driver suddenly caught off guard, lossing it, and going into the track fence backwards. No doubt a bad experience but nothing to compare with this latest one.

Speaking only for myself, I've lost ALOT of respect for the vultures of this forum for their unrelentless pursuit of this video, with total disregard for the wishes of the driver. It shows what parasites some on this forum really are...I can hardly wait to read your "expert" analysis of the accident...LOSERS!

mmm ... so much fuss for a video.
I just don't get it ... but I must agree that watching and seeking crash videos is kinda sick.
But I must also admit I do watch them when given the opportunity.

But hey ... no flames ... I'm just French

I'd like to say thankyou to the people who have acknowledged their concern for the driver's feelings in this video.

I have to agree with Bob, I have lost a lot of respect for the s2ki community and their behaviour regarding this subject, especially in comparison to the respect and support provided by the local community this driver is involved with. They have done nothing but try to help - which seems to be a lot more than many others here can manage.

It seems that s2ki is not a community, there is very little respect for fellow drivers, perhaps due to the global scale of the site, people just find it hard to give a flying f#ck about someone they have never met.

First off, the driver's wishes are extremely important... BUT.

-The person was participating in a public event.
-An accident happened during that event, which was witnessed by other participants and actually videotaped.
-Copies of the video have spread through the Internet like wildfire.

It's just unreasonable to try and 'contain' such a story. A recent example is the Laguna Seca track day... there were TWO incidents that day, and in one case the owner/driver had the guts to post about it in an attempt to help other S2000 owners. Subsequently, after working carefully with his insurance company, the car was covered due to the driver's education nature of the event. The 'Other' incident from Laguna has in my mind been unfairly kept from the public eye. After Laguna, there was much animosity on the board when an incident that I was involved in was pasted all over the board... I had no control over the posting of a video. Of course, no damage was done in the incident, but I have taken responsibility for my actions.

Moderators of this board have the ability to censor what we hear and don't hear. I just hope that power is being used properly in this case and it's truly to diffuse a possible legal issue.

As for the accident itself, the driver does need to take responsiblity like the driver at Laguna did... It happened at a public event. If you make a mistake at a public event (much like the driver at the last Dragonball Run) you have already forfieted your right for the general public not to know about the incident.

As for Club liability... that's always been a concern of mine - Putting inexperienced drivers into high-strung sports-cars on twisty public roads is a RECIPE FOR DISASTER. I'm just surprised it hasn't happened sooner.

To the driver/passenger should they read this: I'm glad you are alive, I hope everything works out and I hope you learned your lesson.
