Default Crashed my car... ehhh (pics no 56k)

So I basically did a 180 and slammed my rear passenger wheel straight into the curb. The body shop guy said that my wheel was probably damaged internally or something, but all I see are inside scratches from broken parts and really bad curbing on the rims.

What should i do?

1. buy a new wheel for 600

2. have them put on the damaged wheel (seems like I can still ride on it), then wait until I can find a cheaper used one (already searched, but I need one soon) and then have the alignment done afterward

you might have other problems besides a bad wheel. why pay $600 for a factory one, when there are places to buy a replica for around $200.

the other damage already costs $1900, I just want to try to save money in the wheel department. are the replicas good enough quality? would those throw off the balance or anything like that? (noob speaking). there are some pretty cheap ones off ebay

Buy a new rim, and hopefully you learned a lesson.

Did you slide or were you playin with the E-brake? I agree with the ebay, get something a bit cheaper. I would also get a re alignment and make sure everything is checked.

The body shops I've been to have always given me refurbished stock wheels in exchange for my damaged one (core.) Highest I remember paying is $250.

It was an S curve on an on-ramp. I went right first, then kinda gassed it too much when going left. It didn't feel that fast, didn't even vtec, but it swung right. i tried to keep it straight but it swung left. by then i panicked and braked, which made it swing right but all the way around (like 210), so that my rear passenger wheel hit the curb and i was facing the opposite way. oh well, just thankful i didn't hurt anyone.
big boo boo right there
