I would be very suspicious of a car with 2 owners and such low mileage. Of course, you are the second owner, but when you go to sell it what will you say? Why is it on the lot? If it is at a dealer, you will never get the real story. Regardless, I'm very suspicious of such cars. I traded in a car I considered a lemon that had low miles just so I could have the freedom from that POS. Is that why it is on the lot with only 6k miles?

Cheers

I would not do it. You bought the 06 new, you did the brake in, you know it was done properly. I personally did not want an S that had been driven by someone else or that had been sitting in the showroom for a long time. For these reasons and for the VSA angel watching over me, I went for a new 06 model. No regret, but then again, I have the color that I wanted from the start. What other differences do you like on the 05 model?

Before drilling into details of trading your car, what do you like about the 2005 that's not in your 2006?

If you are talking about the seats + rims rather than VSA + DBW system, then you could always do an interior swap. Also, if you really want to switch to a 2005 due to mechanical differences, then try looking for left over 2005s. I remember seeing some left over 2004s last year around this time (you might not get the color you want though).

From a fiscal perspective, you are crazy.

Well I finally did the switch...car looks awesome It has like 2 small chips on it (one on the front and rear bumper, and one of the rims is slightly scuffed up, but looks great otherwise ). Plan on doing the Honda front lip and short rear trunk spoiler next along with an upgraded soundsystem including the S pods...

Glad you did it - GPW/tan is very hard to find - you might not ever have gotten another opportunity to do it.

Quick,

I tell most folks to hold out for the color combinatino that speaks best to them. I think this is a very important aspect of owning a car over the long term, and lots of folks compromise because of price or availability.

Anyway, I'm happy for you. I'm sure you're getting screwed financially on this, but if the color combo makes you happy, it's worth it.

That's why I am having the leather changed on my 06 seats. Better quality, look and feel, and the color combo of my choosing.

Color combo is HUGE. Especially when it comes to interior!

Glad you like your new car

With all that said, would you mind giving your impressions of the two model years? hehe

I would keep your '06 since you know that you never over-revved your car or anything like that. There is nothing like owning a car from day one, even if a used car only has a few thousand miles on it. The only reason I would look to go with an '05 versus an '06 would be for FI reasons, but I don't think your concerned with that.
