Default Crazy Idea for the S2000

I have a crazy idea for the S2000. Is anyone here familiar with Hartley Enterprises and their H1V8?

It is a 2.8L 400hp NA V8 that revs to 10,000rpm. The engine was created by merging two Suzuki Hyabusa engines.

My question is, Does anyone here think they know of a shop that might be capable of achieving the same feat with the F20?

A 4.0L V8 with 480hp and a 9,000 rpm redline would be awesome in the S.

I know its a crazy idea but I dont see why it couldnt be done, Im just wondering if anyone has any idea how hard it would be and if they know of anyone who could do it.

I am really starting to miss my old S and am looking at trading in my RL for another one early next year. If this engine looks feasible it is on the top of my list for reasons to save up.
I am also going to contact Hartley Enterprises and see what they have to say about this.

Just because our engine is stock 240bhp, does not mean it would automatically be double by fusing it into a v8.

Be a tight squeeze that's for sure! Sounds like a cool idea though.

I know some of the v8 conversions done before have been Corvette engines. I would think those would spoil the S as it feels so balanced with the stock motor due to the power delivery. I very torquey less revving engine would make it very different not to mentipn weight distribution?

But two F20C's - could be cool. But why not just supercharge it up to 450?

Actually, merging 2 F20c's has already been done... http://users.rcn.com/dhintz/Michelle/michelle.html. It apparently pushes closer to 450 HP though

It doesnt necessarily mean power will double, but I dont see why it wouldnt. Hartley Enterprises was actually able to more than double the output of the original Hayabussa engine(they did bore them out from 1.3 to 1.4L though).

For the same reason that Ferrari uses a high revving 4.3L v8 in the F430 instead of supercharged or turbocharged smaller engines, its just cooler. There are some performance reasons but they are more preference than anything, a turbo F20 can easily produce more power and torque than the V8 I envision, the difference would be in the delivery. I just think this would be very cool and unique.
