Crazy random idea
I was looking for my air compressor air/water separator in my garage today to use as an oil catch can. It turns out what i had actually bought awhile back was a mister used to mist oil into tools for an air compressor.
it looks the same as the air water separators. it has a plastic clear bottle that you fill up with oil, and it sprays a mist of oil to lubricate your air tools.
I had a crazy idea. What if you could fill this with water and have a sort of water injection system that is somewhat like the water/meth injection systems.
I have know idea how these systems work, i just came up with the idea so here i am asking if its possible?
If its a fine mist, couldnt you just put it on one of the breather tubes that hooks up to the intake. it would then mist water into the intake pipe/ throttle body and help cool your intake charge?
sorry if this is a totally stupid idea. It just seemed like a cool diy if it actually is possible.
please no nasty comments lol

I had water injection from Edelbrock on a past vehicle. Great concept to reduce detonation in a high-compression engine (and keep the head clean) but not too expensive. No reason to 'MacGuyver' your own.
I helped put an eaton on an old 325i. We used a homemade water injection system.
It worked pretty well for what it was, a pump with a nozzle off an old windshield washer tank and a switch on the dashboard.
now you can get a lot more sophisticated delivery systems.
