I use a water bottle wedged into the net in the passenger footwell.

That $85 mount would stick the cup right in my thunder thigh.

I drink a lot of water, and I buy my water in quart size jugs, so called cup holders never take care of my needs.

I took a 6" long section of black 4" dimaeter drainage tile like the stuff pictured here



and crammed it into the net on the passenger's side tranny hump.

This simple solution offers me something big enough to take my water, the gap between the net/tube/tranny works great to toss my wallet and phone in, the drain tile has ridges so once in the net it can't move, with the bottom being open I never get a puddle of water forming in the bottom of it and if I have a passenger and it is in their way, I yank it out and toss it into the trunk. In my book, simple and low cost is always good...
