Default Custom doors?

has anyone had custom made on their s2000, doors that flipped up (like the f1 mclaren), instead of the usual outward? Anyone know how much it would cost to have this installed?

The S2000 is not the kind of car to rice accessorize.

wouldn't doors that flip up require a fixed roof? Last i checked.. I don't have a fixed roof... I'm confused!

no, they are attached at the same place normal doors are, just go up instead of out.

I have to agree with vtecvoodoo.

seriously, this is not even plausible. yes, they are attached at the top and held up that way, and because of the weight of the door, you will need a fixed roof for this to actually hold up. I would really hate to keep that much pressure on your a-pillars. But... if you want to be different and spend the kind of conversion dollars to do it, go for it.

I know a guy back east that did it to a CRX and at the end of the day it was about 3-4k in parts and labor.

Not that I would do it for the money, but I think most of you guys are missing exactly the type of door LM is looking for. He's not talking about a gullwing (ala DeLorean style). Think of it like this...the bottom hing to our door is removed, and the top hinge is reoriented. The door portion that's normally towards the back of the car points towards the sky, traversing a 90 degree arc.
